Temporary Government Renovation Tax Credit:
The Home Renovation Tax Credit enables you to claim 15 percent of your home improvements until February 1, 2010.
You can claim renovations on your 2009 tax return on costs over $1,000, but not exceeding $10,000.
The tax break worth is worth up to $1,350.
